The California Workforce Survey was designed to assess the current state of working conditions in California. The survey collected data by telephone on Californians' attitudes toward a range of issues as well as on the status, conditions, and practices of their employment. Data collection was carried out by the Survey Research Center at the University of California, Berkeley, between July 10, 2001 and January 27, 2002. The survey was sponsored by the Institute for Labor and Employment at the University of California.
